Cheryl has provided psychotherapy for people in a variety of settings, including several local hospitals. As a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) for many local and national EAP organizations, Cheryl provided counseling for their clients' company employees and family members, as well as managment training, critical incident stress debriefing, drug and alcohol education and wellness classes. While she has worked with adults, adolescents and children throughout her career, she mainly sees adults at the present time.

In an earlier career, Cheryl worked as a Health and Fitness Specialist in one of the nation's first Corporate Wellness Programs for a Fortune 100 company. Prior to that she was a teacher as well as a resident counselor in a group home for teenaged girls in Wisconsin. She moved to Atlanta to pursue graduate training in the late 80's.

Cheryl has long been passionate about holistic health and wellness, i.e. creating balance in all areas of one's life, including the emotional, spiritual, social, physical, intellectual and occupational aspects. It is this passion she infuses throughout her therapeutic style with clients, as they work together to create a life with optimal health and well-being. Her advanced training in Gestalt therapy, Applied Psychomotor therapy, breath therapy and hypnosis has influenced her greatly, and allows her to truly integrate a mind/body approach in her work. She recognizes she is not the Healer but simply a facilitator for healing.

Cheryl is married and thrilled to be the mother of an adopted child. She enjoys presenting to general audiences on the topics of hypnosis, stress management, guided imagery for goal achievement, breath therapy, wellness in the workplace, weight control, and mind/body healing to cope with illness.
